Sketchy Time and Some News.....

Good Morning From MAWTT Headquarters!!!(Hazels House!!)

This week its Me who is the Hostess for the challenge and I decided we hadn't done a sketch theme for a while so thought it would be a great idea to have one.

It's a simple sketch. There's lots of room for your embellishments and text so feel free to do with it as you please. (As long as we can still see the sketch on you card we will be happy)

So onto the News. Well MAWTT is having a Summer Holiday!!!

This will be our last challenge until the 3rd October.

The Design Team Girls have a whole lot of exciting things happening in real life over the summer months so we decided that we would have this break and recharge our batteries!

So onto this weeks Design Team Creations.

Winner - Embossing

To pick just 3 from 113 fantastic entries has been so hard!! I loved to see different ways of doing heat embossing & creative placement of dry embossed panels. Thanks to everyone for sharing their creations with us.

СВЕТЛАНА did a great background embossing and also on the gorgeous trees for the front of the card. The background embossing was also enhanced by clever placement of the snowflakes & what looks like liquid pearls. But that's not all!!! Look at the INSIDE of the card!! You have to visit her blog for more close-up photos (also of the back!!) and be inspired.

Linda used Fran'tage aged black embossing enamel on the bottom. She then used an embossing pen on the sides of the trees and Cosmic Shimmer Gold embossing powder. Pretty enough to frame...

Ali

Ali used the negative of a circle die-cut to put embossing ink through & generously sprinkled & heat embossed the "moon". Clever, hey?

Embossing

Hi all!! Red (Riette) here hosting my very FIRST challenge ever!! So this is very exciting for me and I hope you'll join us in our EMBOSSING challenge!

Requirement: Use any type of embossing on your card. Wet (Heat) or Dry as I did in my card below.

I heat embossed the flower stamp in black and dry embossed the background frame as well. (More on my blog at www.redcardcorner.blogspot.com). My background DP is from the Floral Surprise paper pack (you have to check it out, it's fantastic!)
