Good Evening to you.

A big thankyou to all of you who entered the Sketch and Vintage Pastel theme I set last week. We have loved hopping round to see what you have been creating and it's wonderful to see so much inspiration on our travels. It seems this isn't an easy challenge but your work is truly gorgeous and everyone has taken a different slant which is what it is all about.

The winner was picked at random and is Kelli from Kelli's Table Scraps. Congratulations Kelli for winning this week and thankyou for joining us again after your top 3 win last week. The focus of Kelli's card was a sentiment which gave it a very different feel.

In Sally's words she has made the first steps into vintage and I hope not the last. Although you were not feeling well Sally I think you did a great job. I hope we will see some more of this style from you.

Susan at Susan's Crafty Chaos.

Susan made two cards for the challenge and this was the pastel version. Much of it is a digital card and I am in awe of people who can create projects in this way. Thanks Susan for coming back a second time.

Tricia at Tricia's Confetti. 

Tricia recounts the times she remembers spent at Granny's house, of a little house with patchwork quilts and roses around the door. It certainly gives the feel of those days Tricia and I hope we will see more of this style from you too.

MAWTT Challenge #56

Good morning everyone, I hope it's a good week for you all and you are getting some time to craft. I have the Farnborough airshow right outside my window and in my back garden. I live right under the flight path and can see the flying displays and hear the noise of the jets as they pass overhead.

This week it's me, Brenda, setting the challenge for you, and it's the very first time I have ever done this so please be kind to me. As a new DT member I have to say that it's a real privilege hopping over to your blogs to see your amazing creations, there is so much inspiration to see.

Firstly our sponsor this week are Lilac Lemon Designs who are a relatively new company to the market, opening it's checkout in September 2009. Their stamps are unique and hopefully appealing to all ages. Most of the stamps are made from high quality red rubber but they do have a new line of clear stamps which work beautifully with Nestabilities as well as on their own."

Well, my favourite style is Vintage cum Shabby Chic and if you looked on my blog last week at Toby in a Basket you would have seen that I gave you clues to the theme for this week and said "think pastel and think shabby chic/vintage, so the theme from me is called Vintage Pastel and I have also got a sketch for you.

We would like to see any elements of vintage in your images or ephemera and of course light colours. Use the sketch creatively, you can flip, rotate or resize the sketch and please add embellishments if you want to, we just ask that we can see the layout in your completed design.

I hope you enjoy the challenge I know it will take some of you outside your comfort zone, as it did some of the design team, but then cute does that for me and as for clean and simple I really struggle with that, I always want to ink the edges and distress them, I just can't help myself.

Here are some wonderful creations from our amazing design team as inspiration to get you going. They have done an incredible job this week in their designs. These cards are just the tops and will definitely get you thinking about the challenge.

Here is Heidi's fabulous interpretation of the sketch with a more modern image but a very vintage feel to it.

.... and my card (Brenda), I loved playing with and making embellishments for this one.

All we ask is for you to have fun and enjoy playing with your papers, colours and embellishments. Just have a go, even if it is outside your normal comfort zone, who knows what you can create if you don't push at the boundaries.

We are really looking forward to coming and seeing what you come up with and are ready to leave you some positive encouragement and sweet comments.

Moving Along With The Times Weekly Challenge # 55 - Heidi's Sketch/Theme

Good morning, welcome to Week 55 of our Challenge! Thank you to everyone who entered Hazel's challenge last week, we had some beautiful creations!

It's my turn (Heidi) this week to come up with a sketch and theme. We want to see 'Animals' somewhere on your entries, so to enter our challenge, all you have to do, is get creating making anything you like ie. a card, scrappage or crafty piece!

MAWTT #52 - My Farewell
