I am sorry if old posts keep appearing on here.
I am trying to delete old links to entries on old posts.
This is to comply with new EU laws that are coming out in May.

Privacy Policy Notice.
In order to comply with the new GDPR regulations being enforced in Europe on 25th May 2018, changes are being implemented on MAWTT challenge blog. These changes are being made with immediate effect.
Winners posts ( for the times we have a prize) will no longer contain links to individual blogs. They will feature the image of the winning entry as entered into Linky by the individual and their name only. It will be the responsibility of those winners to contact us to register their claim for the prize on offer.
Entries making a Top 3 or Top 5 spot will feature an image of the entry as entered into Linky by the individual and the name of the entrant but no link to their blog.
All historical winners posts are being updated and names/blog links removed.
Linky information of entries made by individuals will be displayed for a maximum of six months only. All historical Linky's have being deleted and this process will be maintained on an ongoing basis.
Those entering a piece of artwork into Linky do so in the knowledge that their name and blog links are visible to all who visit this blog and is deemed their consent that their entry may be displayed on a winners or Top 5 post should it be selected.
Those leaving a comment on any post on this blog do so in the knowledge that their name and blog link are visible to all who visit this blog and by providing the comment, they have published their own personal details on this blog and also consented to our use of that personal information for that specific purpose.
If there is a winner and she/he has claimed their prize, their details will be securely destroyed.
So sad that this has to happen as it's always lovely to click on links to see people's blogs. Are people not giving consent to allow this because they enter? It seems to be another nail in the coffin for the joy of blogging. Thanks for all your hard work with your lovely challenge xx
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jane, this is so sad... I love clicking the links to see other crafter's work- and a lot of my traffic comes from link-clicking too I suspect, so that will drop off. I don't know if we're all supposed to go to Facebook, though I loathe it so It will probably be the end of it for me :-(
ReplyDeleteIt must be hard for those of you that run blogs, I hope it doesn't get TOO hard as you do such a great job - I love checking out your challenges xx
